Jay Alvarrez is a trailblazer, who has always showcased his talent and adventurous spirit on social media. Jay was one of the first videographers to explore social media almost 10 years ago by broadcasting his voyages, camaraderie, and stunning feats to the world. His videos are not only thrilling, but he manages to capture his content in a beautiful and tasteful way, unlike the banal content most social media stars put out on a daily basis.

What started as an autobiographical summary of his daily life and adventures soon attracted millions of followers. Brands as well began to express interest wanting Jay to capture their stories in the context of Jay’s vision of the world around him. Jay began to work with the best of the best, trailblazing the way for talent on social media by directing, producing, and editing his own
content in competition with traditional advertising agencies.

In 2016, he was approached by Hyundai to do not only a social media shoot, but an actual television commercial for the North American launch of their Tucson model. Hyundai was hesitant at first, never having given over trust to an influencer to single handedly direct and produce highly stylized but at the same time raw content for them.

Jay not only directed the shoot but also hired fellow influencers to co-star and co-promote the content on social media. The result was a giant success for the brand and resulted in the Tucson going from a family vehicle brand with stagnant growth to a vehicle seen as exciting by younger audiences. Hyundai specifically credited the success of the car’s launch to Jay’s campaign and content.

Since that time, Jay has gone on to work with such illustrious partners as Coca Cola, Armani, Omega watches, the Limited, Universal Pictures, Snapchat, and many others.

Instead of just being known as an “influencer”, he prefers to be called an adventurer, videographer, or director, which resonates with his audience and his character as somewhat of an unconventional spirit.

Recently, Jay visited Brazil and shot some of his most exciting content to date. These included two death-defying stunts: the first being a skateboarding ramp suspended ten-thousand feet in the sky attached to a hot air balloon. Jay proceeds to skateboard on the ramp suspended mid-air and eventually flies off the ramp into a skydive carrying the skateboard with him to make his earth-landing. The second stunt involves a trampoline suspended in the sky attached to the same hot air balloon. Jay and his group of friends jump, do flips and then eventually skydive right off the trampoline into the sky.

In addition to his daily feats in the sky, in the ocean or on the street, Jay has created a new project, Omerta. Omerta is a collective of like-minded individuals embarking on exciting trips, adventures and experiences. Omerta has also joined forces and partnered with experiential membership club Utopia, which brings together young and successful talented individuals. Those interested can find out more and apply for membership online at www.joinomerta.com. Jay and his team are very selective in who can join. They
want to find like-minded adventurers who truly appreciate what the club stands for.

Only time will tell what Jay’s next adventures or projects may be. The only thing we do know is that it won’t be boring!
